Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• At least 1 year of experience as a cashier or in a similar customer-facing finance role
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. Tally, Sage, QuickBooks)
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and customer-service orientation

Responsibilities

• Receive cash, mobile money, and bank deposit payments from customers and issue receipts
• Reconcile daily collections and banking and submit accurate cash reports to the Accountant
• Handle petty-cash disbursements in line with company financial policies
• Maintain orderly customer queues and provide a professional first point of contact at the cashier desk
• Safeguard company funds and report any discrepancies or suspicious transactions immediately
